How to create a new Heliport / Helipad

This is primarily utilised by helicopter companies, which frequently operate to and from private locations such as fields, mansions, and other exclusive properties, rather than solely relying on airports.

The ability to add a new heliport is granted exclusively to users with "Administrator+Airports" access rights.

To successfully add a new heliport, please follow these detailed steps:

• Go to Airports page - New
• Add the Mandatory fields:
  • Name
  • Main City
  • ICAO: type "ZZZZ" immediately followed by your preferred code, without any spaces, such as ZZZZABCD
  • Country
• Check the Heliport box
• Add the Elevation
• Add the Latitude and Longitude: only the decimal format is accepted here, for conversion use this source. 
  

• Add Time Zone: ensure that you utilise the proper format, which is conveniently available for copy and paste from this source
