Dispatch App - Notifications

This article explains the FL3XX Dispatch App's notifications: what they are, who gets them, when they are triggered, and where they direct you within the app for quick access to relevant information.

The FL3XX Dispatch App helps you stay on top of operational changes by sending timely notifications. This guide explains:

  • What each notification is
  • Who receives it
  • When it gets triggered
  • Where the notification directs you within the app

Tailored Notifications Based on Access

The Dispatch mobile application now customizes notifications based on both aircraft and flight visibility. This means:

  • Fleet managers or dispatchers with access to a specific set of aircraft see notifications only for those aircraft.
  • Crew members receive notifications solely for flights they are assigned to.

These tailored notifications ensure that you only see relevant updates, avoiding unnecessary information about aircraft or flights you’re not involved in. To set up or change access rights, please contact our support team.

Available Notifications

  1. Flight Release Submit (FLIGHT_RELEASE_SUBMIT)

    • What It Is: Notifies you when a flight release is submitted.
    • Who Gets It: Users with the FLIGHT_RELEASE role - must have legitimate access to the flight (either because they manage all aircraft or specifically have rights to this flight/aircraft).
    • When It Happens: When the flight release status changes from "DO" to "Submit" in the Dispatch module.
  2. Feasibility Check Requested (FEASIBILITY_CHECK_REQUESTED)

    • What It Is: Notifies you when the sales team requests a feasibility check for a flight.
    • Who Gets It: All Dispatch App users in principle, but only those who have view access to the flight will actually receive and see the notification.
    • When It Happens: When the sales team clicks the feasibility check emoji in the Itinerary within the Sales Module.
  3. New Flight Booked (QUOTE_BOOKED)

    • What It Is: Notifies you when a new flight is booked.
    • Who Gets It: All Dispatch App users by default, but effectively filtered to only those who have access to the newly booked flight(s)—for example, the aircraft owner or assigned crew.
    • When It Happens: When the booking workflow is clicked and confirmed in the Sales module.
  4. Flight Unrelease (FLIGHT_UNRELEASE)

    • What It Is: Notifies you when a flight is unreleased due to changes in the flight itinerary.
    • Who Gets It: Dispatch App users with the FLIGHT_RELEASE role, provided they have access to the flight.
    • When It Happens: Any subsequent changes in the flight workflow (e.g., schedule changes, aircraft changes) trigger the flight to be “unreleased.”

Where Notifications Take You

Each notification type takes you to a specific screen within the FL3XX Mobile App for easy access to relevant information:

  1. Flight Unrelease:

    • Takes you to the Release screen to review why the flight was unreleased and address the changes.
  2. Feasibility Check Requested:

    • Takes you to the Flight Details screen of the requested feasibility check leg.
  3. New Flight Booked:

    • Takes you to the current calendar month.
      • If multiple legs are involved, you’ll be taken to the first available (non-canceled) flight within that booking.

Additional Tips and Reminders

  1. Customized Access

    • Even though some notifications (like Feasibility Check Requested or New Flight Booked) are sent to “all Dispatch users,” only those with the appropriate flight or aircraft access see them. This ensures privacy and reduces unnecessary alerts.
  2. Changes to Flight or Access

    • Whenever a flight’s details (e.g., crew assignments, aircraft selection) are modified, your eligibility for notifications updates immediately.
    • Changes to user accounts or broader permissions might take up to 12 hours to appear due to caching, so if you recently lost or gained access rights, notifications could be temporarily out of sync.
  3. Still Not Seeing Notifications?

    • Make sure your user profile is correctly set up, with an account linked to your profile and the appropriate roles/permissions.
    • Contact your administrator if you believe you should have access to specific aircraft or flights but aren’t receiving the relevant notifications.
